NYSC Portal Registration 2017 – Did you recently graduate from a tertiary institution in Nigeria, university or polytechnic? Have you been awaiting details on the NYSC 2017 Batch B? Then this information is for you. The NYSC portal will be open to prospective corps members from 24th October to 12th November, 2017 to enable them register to be mobilized for the one year program.

The following guidelines should be strictly adhered to in order to avoid unnecessary hitches during and after the registration.

  1. Visit any of the recognized NYSC websites, nysc.org.ng, www.nysc.gov.ng, portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/
  2. Prior to commencing the registration process, the prospective corps member should ensure he/she has a functional email address and mobile phone number.
  3. For graduates from Nigerian institutions, only those who had their names on the Senate Approved lists for their schools are eligible for this process. They will be required to use their correct matriculation numbers for the registration.
  4. Graduates from foreign institutions should ensure that they confirm that their schools were accredited with the Federal Ministry of Education as they will be required to upload a verification letter from the ministry during the registration process.
  5. Graduates from foreign institution will be required to provide the following documents during the registration process:
    1. Any of West African School Certificate (WASC), General Certificate of Education (GCE) or National Examination Council (NECO). The certificates must have not less than 5 credits gotten in not more than 2 sittings. Alternatively, they can present High School Diploma or an equivalent.
    2. A certification of their first degree (BSc or others) or Higher National Diploma (HND).
    3. A transcript of the results leading to the first degree or HND certificate. For those who studied in non-English speaking countries, the transcripts should be translated to English.
    4. International passport showing details of the travel for the foreign study program.
  6. Graduates of any of the Medical Sciences are required to produce certificates of affiliation to their respective professional bodies. Note that payment receipts are not acceptable.
  7. The verification exercise for graduates from foreign institutions will be carried out at the orientation camps and not the NYSC headquarters as previously practiced. All they need do is report to the orientation camps of their respective states of deployment with their call up letters along with original copies of all the documents uploaded.
  8. Presentation of fake documents is highly prohibited and will result in decamping and demobilization.
  9. The passport photograph used for the registration process must show all vitals of the face (eyes, ears, nose, mouth, jaw), it must properly fit in and be centralized to the space provided on the site and must have a white background with no shadows.
  10. Registration by proxy is not acceptable. Prospective corps members should endeavor to remember the fingers used in biometric registration as these will be required for recognition at the respective orientation camps. Unavailability of these will result in the prospective corps member not being registered at the camp.
  11. Prospective corps members who will want their call up details sent via text message or will want to print their call up letters online will be required to pay a fee of #3,000.00 (you can visit the NYSC website for payment details). Those who do not want to pay this amount can opt to pick up their call up letters and numbers at their various institutions of study.
  12. Prospective corps members who had previously paid for their call up letters and numbers and were not mobilized are not required to make another payment.
  13. Intending female corps members (both locally and foreign trained) should ensure they upload their marriage certificates along with their proof of change of name and the present state of residence of their spouses at the time of registration.
  14. Pregnant and nursing mothers intending to be mobilized should note that they will not be accommodated at any of the orientation camps as the camps are not ideal for their present condition.
  15. Part time graduates should ensure they complete their online registration and consequently await their Letters of Exclusion at their various institutions. To get their letters printed online, they can pay a fee of #3,000.00.
  16. Prospective corps members who graduated from any of the institutions in the country can make their complains to any of the numbers below depending on their geopolitical zones in the event of any hitches with the registration process:

Prospective corps members should note that once the registration portal is closed on the 12th November, 2017, there will be no reopening for this batch, they will have to wait till the next batch to register for mobilization.

  • Forwarding of Complaints to Mobilization Department by State Deployment and Relocation officers (23rd Oct – 12th Nov 2017)
  • Deployment and Printing of Call-up Letters by ICT Department (13th – 17th Nov, 2017)
