When you compose page opens, scroll down and click on the “Attach File paperclip” icon.

When you click on the attach icon, a drop down menu will appear where you will see the following options: “share files from cloud providers”, “Add photos from recent emails” insert animated GIFs”, “Attach files from computer”. Now click on the first option “Share files from cloud providers”.

When you click on “Share files from cloud providers” you will be directed by the right hand side of your compose page to select which location you want to move the files from; Dropbox and google drive.

For you to use the services offered by Dropbox, you must have an account with the. Dropbox is completely free so you can just rush over there now https://www.dropbox.com and create a free account. With each account gives you a 2.5 GB storage space. So create your account and upload the file you want to attach and send through your yahoo email account.

Back to attaching files from Dropbox to yahoo mail. So when the Dropbox and google drive” options open on the side of your compose page, click on “Dropbox”. As soon as you click, a new window will be opened when you will be required to enter you Dropbox user email and password. When you are done, click on “Sign in”.

Once you login, you will be required to allow yahoo to access the files and folders in your Dropbox.  Click on  “Allow”.

When you click on allow, you will be redirected to yahoo to verify your password.

Link your Dropbox account to your yahoo account by clicking on link account. Choose and select the file you want to attach from your Dropbox folders. You can select as many files as you want to share in the email from your yahoo mail. Yahoo mail will automatically a link or links to the shared file(s) from your Dropbox account. This link will appear on your compose platform. So you can continue composing your email and send it. When the recipient gets the email all he will need to do is to click on the link(s) to download the attached file(s).

Warning: Encrypted files are not supported by Yahoomail. Make sure you remove all special characters from the title while saving the file on Dropbox.
